We are Cwm Taf Morgannwg
On the 5th July 1948, an historic moment occurred in British history, a bold and innovative plan to make healthcare no longer exclusive to those who could afford it but to make it accessible to everyone. The NHS was born.
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of the NHS Wales family. Our Health Board provides primary, secondary and community health and wellbeing services to around 450,000 people living across our region, consisting of three County Boroughs: Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf.
In collaboration with several local, regional and national partners including Welsh Government, local government, the broader public sector, private industry and third sector organisations, we deliver core health services and plan for the future.
We are a proud local employer; around 80% of our 15,000 workforce live within our region, making our staff not only the lifeblood of our organisation but of the diverse communities that we serve.
Our Values
We listen, learn and improve...
Everyone deserves to speak and be heard. So we give our people the space to open up. We want people who ask questions, listen carefully, and use what they learn to make things better.
We treat everyone with respect...
We all make a difference, whatever our role. So we want people who are kind and fair. People who help, just for the sake of it. And when someone deserves a thank you, we say thank you.
We all work together as one team...
Each of us is brilliant. But all of us together are better. So we want people who look out for others, and help them feel involved. And when you learn something useful, share it!
